What is DDF?

Four jam-packed days of theatre! The Durham Drama Festival is one of the highlights of Durham’s theatrical year. With a range of respected industry professionals, an exciting line-up of workshops and question-sessions and a multitude of fantastic new performances (not to mention the legendary DDF social events) the festival is a wonderful showcase of some nation-leading theatrical talent.

Where is DDF?

The festival office is in The Assembly Rooms Theatre, just a stone’s throw from Durham castle and Cathedral in the stunning heart of the city. This will also be the location of our box-office and information desk throughout the duration of the festival. As well as the Assembly Rooms, we also have a few different venues dotted around Durham. Take a look at our Venues page for more information.

What’s on?

Have a look at our festival programme to find out about everything that’s going on including show details, times, ticket prices, workshop descriptions and information about our festival judges.

How can I get involved?

You can get involved today by submitting a play of your own, volunteering to help with festival production or simply by booking your ticket now! Take a look at our Take Part page for more information.
